Thurles Lions Trust Housing Association CLG visits Fethard Town Park

Thurles Lions Club chairman Chris Delahunt and club members paid a fabulous visit to Fethard Town Park and met chairman Maurice Moloney, Coolmore Stud, Caroline Madden and goalkeeper Tommy.

Fethard Town Park is a local non-profit community group set up to develop and manage Fethard Town Park.

Thurles Lions Housing Trust, as a non-profit community group, wanted to see the incredible progress of this exciting development in Tipperary.

Nothing would prepare you for the sheer scale of this incredible project, 26 acres of parkland containing two full-size playing fields, an all-weather 3G pitch and grass pitch, a full-size 4G lighted GAA/Rugby pitch, and open to all the users.

The magnificent clubhouse and all its facilities are under construction. We were delighted to see all the school children biking and walking, families on their daily walks, the elderly sitting on their sponsored benches and enjoying the wildflowers on a beautiful day.

If you haven’t visited, it’s worth a visit. Expect to see their community pavilion, locker rooms, gym, and cafe when complete.
