[423] Lions ready for 2022 season

This week, Chris and Jeff come together to discuss the latest Detroit Lions news ahead of the start of the 2022 NFL season and the final episode of Hard Knocks. The Lions ended the series in a big way and we got to see a lot more of what makes this team tick. This obviously bodes well for the dressing room, but will it translate to performance on the football pitch?

The Detroit Lions podcast gears up for the 2022 NFL season

With the preseason over, the Lions begin their preparation for their game against the Philadelphia Eagles today. Any remaining questions will be answered in the coming weeks, and we will begin to get a sense of the fruits of the labor the front office has invested in building and coaching this team. Detroit Lions fans are hopeful as they head into what could be their toughest game of the season, but we also know that the coaching staff has this game on the schedule for a long time. Will the team’s preparation be enough? We’ll take a look and discuss what we see.

There are a few Detroit Lions injuries to discuss, the biggest (both in size and impact) being Halapoulivaati Vaitai. His back problems force the team to work on their back-up plan from the start. What does this mean for Leos in Week 1 and beyond? We’ve got you covered on that one. There are also questions and mystery surrounding who will call plays for the Detroit Lions offense, and a former player joining the ranks of the coaching staff immediately after being cut. There’s a lot to talk about this week as the Detroit Lions prepare to take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Buckle up, it’s going to be a great show!

Speaking of “buckle up,” make sure you head to our project with Detroit Lions cornerback Jerry Jacobs to help charities in Detroit. It’s a great opportunity to get some great gear and make a difference in the city we all love.
