Five-point Nicholls rally too much for Lions – Crescent City Sports

HAMMOND, La. — Nicholls rallied for five runs in the ninth inning Friday to Pat Kenelly Diamond at Alumni Field en route to a 6-4 victory over the Southeastern Louisiana University baseball team in the 2010 game. opening of the Southland Conference for both schools.

Reliever Colonel Brandon Andrews (1-0) picked up the win, pitching 1.2 scoreless innings. He allowed one hit and struck out two batters. Cade Evans landed his fourth save of the season, three final outs in the ninth. Trahan (1-1) suffered the loss, giving up two runs in 0.2 innings pitched.

The Lions have lost five straight games, their longest single-season slip in five straight losses, from March 19-26, 2017.

Senior right-hander Hunter O’Toole (1-2, 5.88) picked up the Lions starting spot on Saturday over Nicholls’ senior right-hander Chase Gearing (2-1, 3.48).

Single tickets are on sale for the remainder of the regular season. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to minimize queues on match days. South East students are encouraged to contact the box office prior to the game to reserve theirs in advance.

General admission tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for youth (ages 3-12). Students from the South East, with a university ID, and children under 2 years old are admitted free. Gameday parking is $5 per day for standard vehicles and $25 for RVs.
