Aurora Lions Egg Hunt and Easter Bunny Event to Benefit Ukraine

AURORA, IL — The annual Aurora Noon Lions Club Breakfast with the Bunny returns April 16, but with two changes to new additions from previous years. For the first time, the event will include an outdoor egg hunt and organizers are raising funds to help relief efforts in Ukraine.

Throughout the several-hour fundraising event, to which the public is invited, the Noon Lions will be accepting donations for Ukraine. Additionally, the club will provide up to $500 in donations, according to a press release.

The club, which celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2022, will hold its Easter-related event from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Luigi’s Pizza, 732 Prairie St. in Aurora. The egg hunt, which will take place outside except in the event of rain, will begin at 11 a.m.

The breakfast feast includes all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausages, and mini donuts, plus drinks like orange juice, milk, chocolate milk, and coffee.

With each ticket, attendees will receive an egg-shaped pizza to take home. Admission — which can be purchased at the door or in advance from Noon Lions members — is $7 for adults, $5 for children, and free for children 2 and under.

Free visual screening and raffles will be offered at the event. Prizes include pizza kits as well as laser tag coupons, shop aprons and a stuffed bunny, donated by Noon Lion and Luigi owner Bill Poss.

The Easter bunny will be among the visitors to the event and will pose for photos.
